Join the new generation of Avengers with this S.H.Figuarts Captain America figure, designed by Bandai Spirits and Tamashii Nations based on his appearance in Avengers: Doomsday. This edition depicts Sam Wilson, formerly known as Falcon, now the official bearer of Captain America’s shield and symbol.

The figure features his new red, white and blue combat suit, complete with detailed armour, protective goggles and a full set of mechanical wings. Thanks to this equipment, it can be displayed in both close-quarters combat poses and flying scenes inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Bandai uses its Tamashii Digital Coloring technology to accurately reproduce the character’s features and expressions. Two interchangeable heads with necks are included, one of which wears goggles, allowing you to alter his appearance to suit the scene being depicted.

Her circular shield can be held in her hand, thrown in a dynamic pose or attached to her back using the included belt components and interchangeable back plates. The figure also comes with Redwing, the drone used by Sam Wilson for reconnaissance and tactical support.

The five pairs of interchangeable hands allow you to recreate numerous poses: clenched fists, open hands, handling the shield or combat gestures. The joints characteristic of the S.H.Figuarts range offer a wide range of movement whilst maintaining the character’s realistic proportions.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Sam Wilson is a former member of the US Air Force specialising in rescue operations. He initially used the experimental EXO-7 flight suit, equipped with mechanical wings, to become the hero known as Falcon.

He meets Steve Rogers when the latter is seeking help to foil a conspiracy within S.H.I.E.L.D. Sam agrees to accompany him and gradually becomes one of his most trusted allies, then an official member of the Avengers.

His wings enable him to fly at high speed, perform complex aerial manoeuvres and attack his opponents from the air. He also uses Redwing, a drone capable of carrying out reconnaissance, identifying targets and providing him with support during combat.

Following the conflict with Thanos, Steve Rogers chooses Sam as his successor and passes on his shield to him. Although he is initially reluctant to accept such a significant responsibility, Sam eventually takes up the symbol of Captain America and incorporates it into his own aerial combat techniques. Marvel officially presents him as the former Falcon who has become Captain America alongside the Avengers.

Unlike Steve Rogers, Sam does not possess the physical abilities conferred by the Super-Soldier serum. He relies on his military training, his agility, his mastery of flight, his high-tech equipment and his ability to wield the shield with precision.

His Captain America costume thus brings together the two facets of his heroic identity. The shield symbolises the legacy passed on by Steve Rogers, whilst the wings and Redwing serve as a reminder of his time as the Falcon.
