Attack on Titan is set in a world where humanity has long lived entrenched behind immense walls to protect itself from the Titans, gigantic humanoids that devour human beings. The story centres on Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlelt, whose lives are turned upside down following the destruction of their hometown.

Mikasa Ackerman is an exceptionally gifted fighter who battles primarily to protect Eren, her childhood friend and the person most important to her.

After her parents were murdered when she was a child, Mikasa was saved by Eren and then taken in by the Yeager family. The scarf he gave her on that occasion became a lasting symbol of their bond and of the sense of security she associates with his presence.

Thanks to the legacy of the Ackerman clan and particularly rigorous training, Mikasa becomes one of the finest fighters of her generation. Her skill with the 3D Maneuver Gear, her speed and her composure enable her to take on both Titans and enemy soldiers.
